Bleeding Control & Stop The Bleed – 4 hour classroom only
This course includes concepts of both Tactical Casualty Care (TCC) from our CAEMSA approved course and Stop The Bleed. This is a 4 hour classroom only course with a 4 hour “Bleeding Control / Stop The Bleed” certification.
The Soteria Defense Pistol Bleeding Control & Stop The Bleed provides the techniques and training to render medical aid as quickly as possible to victims of serious injury. This course includes the Stop The Bleed curriculum AND core concepts from our California Emergency Medical Services Authority approved Tactical Casualty Care course. You will learn how to triage and treat injuries from minor to life threatening. The life you save may be yours, a co-worker, friend, or loved one.

Learning Objectives:
- Safety and classroom safety
- Principles, history, development, and rationale of enhanced first aid
- Stop The Bleed methodology
- Introduction and basic lifesaving skills (treating causes of traumatic injury)
- Injury Assessments / Identify and treat the leading causes of preventable death
- Use of the “IFAK” – Individual First Aid Kit, “must have items” and how to make your own kits
- Principles of “self-aid” and “buddy aid”
Equipment / What you need:
- Comfortable clothing / business casual or t-shirt
- Bring your own IFAK kit if you have one (for assessment only)
- Snacks / hydration (not provided)
