Close Quarter Engagement Tactics (CQET)
The Soteria Defense Close Quarters Engagement Tactics (CQET) is a total tactics course including the pistol, rifle, and small team tactics. This course is offered in a 2 or 3 day format.
The Soteria Defense Close Quarters Engagement Tactics (CQET) is deployed as a 2 or 3 day course. CQET is expanded from the CQT – Pistol program to include rifles and small team tactics. This high intensity shooting, and tactics program maximizes core competency of firearms and tactics deployment in high threat situations. The purpose is to provide end-users with tactics, techniques, and skills necessary to mitigate close quarters and spontaneous violent incidents such as ambushes and high threat officer survival. This course also supports team tactics, building clearing / close quarters battle, and active shooter response. CQET was first implemented for the Texas Tactical Police Officer’s Association (TTPOA) conference and is a premier program. Learning objectives address a gap in law enforcement training and relies on multiple source reference material, LEOKA statistics, and real-world experience. CQET receives constant updates based on ongoing research, case studies, and direct information from military and law enforcement engaged in the deployment of lethal force. The result is more highly trained personnel who increase public safety and reduce liability.
CQET is suited for military, law enforcement, high threat security, and anyone who wants or needs a course that maximizes core competencies.
This course combines the proven methodologies of our CQT-Pistol and CQT-Rifle courses in a 2 or 3 day format.
