Executive Protection – Attack on Principal
Approach / Attack on Principal “AOP” and your ability to react to an attack is a critical skill to prevent harm to the protectee and yourself. This course is for all agents and officers engaged in protective details.
This course includes extensive live fire movement and vehicle drills. Certificate upon completion!



The Soteria Defense Executive Protection – Attack on Principal course provides the training and skills necessary to safeguard a protectee during protective assignments. Executives are facing significant increases in risk and threat, and being threatened, harmed, and killed at alarming rates. Recent significant incidents such as the San Francisco stabbing murder of Cash App Founder Bob Lee, and New York shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson demonstrate that attacks are very successful when the targeted person lacks a competent protector. Executive “hit lists” and direct online threats demonstrate the need for organizations to engage in protective actions including close physical protection.
This course teaches you the methodology of close protection and techniques to prevent and emergency actions to react to an attack. Students learn protective formations focusing on 1 – 2 agents and larger teams with extensive live fire walking, movement, and evacuation drills. Students will learn embus and debus techniques with extensive live fire vehicle drills, shooting from the vehicle, and evacuation drills.
Requirements / Prerequisites:
- US Citizen
- Pistol Tactics (PTAC) 1 or similar course mandatory – or LEO / Mil
- Thorough competency of the pistol – shooting and handling
Certificate upon completion including the course title and instructor contact hours (8 hours).
