Executive Protection Pistol (EP-Pistol)
The Soteria Defense Executive Protection Pistol (EP-Pistol) course teaches the skills necessary to operate in an executive protection role.
*This is an EP forward bridge between Pistol 2 and our Executive Protection Attack on Principal course. Meaning, security teams and EP agents refreshing their skillset or building their program may opt for EP Pistol rather than Pistol Tactics 2 (PTAC-2). This course does not replace the AOP course.
The Soteria Defense Executive Protection Pistol (EP-Pistol) course bridges the gap between pistol tactics and the skills necessary to operate in an executive protection role. You’ll learn core concepts of pistol concealment, proper selection of supporting equipment, concealed draw techniques, and executive protection specific drills. This course is for the executive protection industry, law enforcement engaging in protective services details, and anyone who wants to increase their ability to protect themselves and others.
Requirements / Prerequisites:
- US Citizen
- Pistol Tactics (PTAC) 1 or similar course mandatory – or LEO / Mil
Learning Objectives:
- Firearms safety and pistol safety
- Methodology of pistol concealment
- Selection of supporting equipment
- Concealed draw techniques / tactical presentation
- Mindset and awareness of protecting your principal
- Extensive live fire shooting drills
- Executive protection drills
Equipment:
- Range appropriate clothing / range uniform (check local weather conditions)
- BODY ARMOR required
- Concealment garment recommended
- Eye and ear protection
- Pistol, holster, magazine carrier, and 3 magazines
- 300 rounds ammunition
- Notebook and pen
- Hydration and food (not readily accessible at the range)
