The Soteria Defense Pistol Tactics (PTAC) 1 is a single day course that teaches you the critical aspects of defensive pistol shooting. There is very little down time during any of our courses, and you’ll find yourself busy, learning, and making the most of your training time. This is the foundation of tactical pistol shooting, and it is not a “beginner” or “intro” class. You’ll learn about pistols, selection of firearms, calibers, equipment, and more.

The course features extensive live fire shooting drills with periods of instruction (POI) on each technique throughout the day. The live fire drills are realistic, intense, and reinforce proper tactical firearms handling. You’ll shoot from 5 – 15 yards, focusing on tactical accuracy and shot placement, multiple shots, and functional handling drills. These skills and drills are critical to solidify the skills you’ll need for PTAC2 & continuing in your training progression.
